"Shruti started band in fourth grade playing the Clarinet with most agonizing tone until they switched to the superior Tenor Saxophone except for the one time they fled in as a Bari. In that time they have grown to appreciate all that music has done for them in helping expressing their creativity and make amazing connections along the way. They have been a part of several ensembles over the years and fulfilled the role of Co-Saxophone Section Leader this year. The time spent with the Saxophone section is time they will cherish forever. In the fall they plan on attending the University of Washington to major in microbiology and one day go into scientific research or public policy, and probably keeping music in their life one way or another. They cannot thank their parents and friends enough for their immense support during this journey."

Thank you so much for your hard work and passion, Shruti! Good luck in college, we will miss you! 💚💛

The joy and perspective she has gained through this community will stay with her as she enters the next chapter of her life at UC San Diego this fall. She would like to thank Ert, Eds, her parents, the flutes, evervone in the RHS music department, and the Band Boosters for their dedication and support. No words can describe her overwhelming gratitude for the role music had played in her life."

To his friends, thank you for being part of the ride. Above all, Owen wants to thank Adarsh, Aidan, and Luke for being more than just close friends, they've been like brothers. Their constant support, both in music and in life, helped shape his confidence and passion. Without them, he wouldn't be chasing this path.

He also extends his deep gratitude to his band director, Eds, for recognizing his potential, encouraging him to grow, and always pushing him to be better. Eds' support and guidance has been instrumental in helping him believe in himself, both as a musician and as a person.

"Noel has been playing trumpet for 7 years and has been playing jazz trumpet for 6 years. As a musician, he has learned to love playing in jazz and orchestral settings. In college, Noel will be studying computer engineering at the University of Washington, where he hopes to continue playing trumpet. He appreciates having his parents, brother, and friends to guide him along in his musical journey."

"Playing trumpet in the Redmond Band has been one of the highlights of Mohith's high school experience. From the first rehearsal to the final performance, he has grown not only as a musician but as a person. He has had the honor of performing in concerts and festivals alongside some dedicated and talented people he knows. Being in band has taught him discipline, teamwork and how powerful music can be in bringing people together. Next year, he plans to attend UC Berkeley to study Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and he hopes to stay connected to music in whatever way he can.
